TeraLink Gen2 delivers up to 1 Gbps throughput, based on 802.11ac technology, with EION’s advanced HyperTrust Interference Mitigation Technology
OTTAWA, ON, CANADA (SEPTEMBER 28, 2020) — EION Wireless, a leading manufacturer of wireless systems for secure, private networks, today announced that it is launching a suite of Gigabit broadband products called TeraLink, using the 802.11ac standard. In our current times of the global pandemic, the new normal is to work and learn from home. In addition, even as schools re-open, we have now engaged a hybrid teaching/learning model of both online and in-class sessions, which will continue into the foreseeable future. This requires advanced broadband technology driven by multiple factors: the sheer number of people requiring high-speed service, driving throughput capacity requirements; multimedia streaming; and the critical need to serve unreachable areas in rural and remote communities across Canada and around the world.
EION’s TeraLink is targeted for such high-capacity requirements for both rural broadband and enterprise applications. The power of TeraLink Gen2 is not only its high-capacity capability, but also its security and unparalleled interference mitigation technology. The security features include: AES128, xxxx, xxxx. The product not only can operate in the unlicensed frequency of 5.8 GHz, but also in the public safety frequency of 4.9 GHz. The frequency range of operation is from 4.9GHz to 6GHz, to meet the demand of international markets. The product offers enterprises and service providers a wide range of channel bandwidths of 5, 10, 20, 40 and 80 MHz.
India’s leading system integrator Neon Networks’ Mahesh xxxx, President, says of EION’s deployments across India, “EION has delivered Point-to-Point and Point-to-MultiPoint products with utmost reliability and performance. Delivering the Gigabit solution, TeraLink Gen2, is the logical next step and I am sure this will also be a great success”, adds Mahesh xxxx.
“The ultra-ruggedness of the product is the fit right for today’s need of rural broadband. In addition, enterprises are demanding high-throughput small to medium backhaul, for which TeraLink Gen2 would be a perfect solution”, says Doug Reid, System Architect EION Wireless. HyperTrust is the most advanced interference mitigation technology that has been implemented in Gen2 products, which will help to deliver high-performance in the crowded unlicensed spectrum”, concludes Doug Reid.
