With our strategy to extend fibre into underserved regions through acquiring and building greenfield fibre and fixed wireless (4G/5G) assets, expanding FTTP in acquired companies, and unifying broadband infrastructure management, PomeGran is working to bridge the digital divide in rural North America.
We deliver high-speed broadband to communities that have historically lacked modern connectivity. Our networks serve homes, businesses, seasonal properties, and critical institutions with fast and affordable access to fibre technology.
Broadband Network Overview – Core Business:
PomeGran is a facilities based broadband service provider operating fibre and fixed wireless networks across Eastern Canada, with expansion into the Northeastern United States.
We currently serve more than 160 communities across:
- Newfoundland
- Outaouais and Saguenay Lac Saint Jean regions, Quebec
- Cochrane region, Northern Ontario
- Chatham Kent region, Southwestern Ontario
We continue to expand our footprint with large scale fibre builds, new open access models, and community focused deployment programs.
Quebec Fibre Build:
The Quebec fibre expansion focuses on delivering Fibre to the Home (FTTH) across Outaouais and Saguenay Lac Saint Jean. This project aims to bring high speed internet to homes and businesses that have historically operated on limited bandwidth or satellite only connectivity.
The network is designed for future scalability allowing communities to grow, attract business investment, and improve digital access for residents, students, healthcare delivery, and municipal services. Construction is ongoing with phased activations rolling out region by region.
Northern Ontario Gigabit Fibre Project:
Our large scale Gigabit Fibre network in Northern Ontario brings next generation connectivity to rural townships, Indigenous communities, agricultural corridors, and remote seasonal areas. The project spans multiple phases including network surveying, pole assessments, distribution build, drop deployment, and customer activation.
The new network is being developed as open access, where multiple ISPs can operate using shared infrastructure to increase choice and affordability. Once complete, Northern Ontario will benefit from gigabit symmetrical speeds, lower latency, improved reliability, and support for future technologies like AI, IoT, cloud services, telemedicine, and precision agriculture.
NIVO ISP Launch:
NIVO is the new Internet Service Provider brand that we have launched to deliver fast, reliable fibre connectivity to rural and underserved regions of Canada. Built on trust, transparency, and community focus, NIVO is designed for families, small businesses, seasonal residents, and Indigenous communities who deserve access to modern broadband.
